la playa.

It's funny how almost every year, around this time at summers close, I feel an inkling to be spending all my moments at the beach.

Blue skies. Sailboats. Sun rays. White sundresses. People walking/biking/jogging everywhere.

These are the little things I love most about summertime. Sometimes it's just nice to get out of the house and know I'm only less than an hour from the beautiful ocean shore. Since Ryan's been working ungodly amounts of hours at work (50+),  it's necessary that we spend some quality time on the weekends. So, we took a little day trip to the beach! Day trip just makes it sound that much more exciting! A little fresh air by the seashore was just what we needed.

p.s. thanks to da girl busy bee lauren for sharing this post from kaelah bee. very refreshing indeed.

  5. Love your pictures! I also live less than an hour away from the beach...and slap me but I haven't been ONCE this summer. Not. Once. I'm ashamed of myself. My and my boyfriend mostly go to the river though....no people, fresh water, beautiful scenery. To me, you can't beat that. I do love the beach too though!

  6. Oh my goodness. Santa Barbara, right? I used to live there, last year, for a year. I miss it so so much. The palm trees and rainbow structure gave it away. :) Is it called East beach? We used to go to that beach side, play volleyball there, go to the art sales on sundays, and take walks. My husband went to Brookes school for Photography. We're from Springfield, Missouri. He moved to Santa Barbara/Goleta the year of our engagement, and then I moved out there to Cali after married in MO.
Sorry for so much info. I love seeing these photos. Thank you for sharing. :)
