downtown pasadena.

The husband and I spent an afternoon venturing around downtown Pasadena enjoying all the little shops, a lunch date, and of course that ginormous strawberry smoothie. It's not often we are in the Pasadena area, so it was nice to explore a little.

One of my favorite things about visiting the city is finding awesome street art like the murals pictured above. I always have my eyes peeled for intriguing/meaningful/unique art around the city walls and they are always so beautiful. I actually have quite a few more different murals I've come upon that I'd like to share on the blog so stay tuned and let me know if you come upon any interesting street art in the LA area.

vintage themed baby shower: part 1

Thanks to my mama, mama-in-law, sister, nina, and grandma for planning such a memorable shower for baby Jace. It was such a lovely afternoon on April 21st spent with family, friends, fun games, and good food. I feel so lucky to have so many amazing people in my life and am so happy Jace will have these people too. I loved how these ladies added their own special touch to the vintage baby theme I'm in love with. All the perfect details, from the vintage platters, white linen tables, ABC old school photo booth toys, finger sandwiches, changing table decor, honey jars, to the cute baby bookmarks my mom and grandma made with beads.

Simply put, it was a wonderful day and I'm so thankful for having so many loving people in my life. And a special thanks to all the awesome guests who showered Jace, Ryan, and I with so much love and joy.

Happy Daddy's day to my dad, father-in-law, all the dad's out there, and especially....happy 1st to my husband! Our son Jace is the spitting image of his papa and I love watching the two interact with each other and am so proud already of the daddy my husband has become. I love my boys.
