a recipe // pumpkin spice french toast.

i believe that mornings are made for breakfast. as if you already didn't know, breakfast is my favorite meal of the day! once a week i will break away from our usual morning routine, which consists of getting ready, breakfast for jace, tea/coffee for me, gym, errands, nap, lunch yadayadayada, to just enjoy a slow quiet morning with my babyboy. this always involves me making breakfast in the kitchen while jace tears apart plays with all the plastic containers in the cupboard and busts out the occasional dance move because there is always music in the background when mama's cooking, and we loveee to dance.

so below are some snapshots from a lovely slow morning where we enjoyed a good two hours just cooking, eating, dancing, playing, and laughing. it's always so good to just take a break from being go go goooo to soaking up the beautiful morning sunlight and living in the moment with my jace because these kids grow up way too fast.

to whip up this super simple breakfast all you need is:

+dash of cinnamon, nutmeg, & pumpkin spice (to make everything sweet and nice!)
+3 eggs
+splash of coconut milk
+fresh bread
+side of applesauce and or strawberries

::loading up on the fall spices::
::mixin', mixin' it up:
::okay, so this stuff is $$$ but holy moly! so good. and lasts a long time too::
:: for on the side::

and babyboy approved!

& a happy friday!

the beach and some babbles.

hey guys, so hope your october is going well thus far!

we've been keeping it pretty low key over here, nothing too crazy. lots of cleaning, organizing, cuddling, cooking, park dates, family outings... but that's how i like it. we hit up the pumpkin patch on monday afternoon with the hubs, a little video coming your way soon! our tiny cozy space is all (halloweenified?) and festive. post coming up on that too.

i heard the weather was really nice at the beach yesterday. good ole' so cal fall weather at best! too bad we were busy with doctor appointments and such because  a trip this week is needed. i think the jacebear and i might even go sea shell collecting! he'd probably loveee that. i have such fond memories of my childhood all bundled up on a cool windy day at the beach with my parents collecting pretty shells in my bucket. it's also on the home videos, but we'll just go with it as my awesome memory keeping skills! (another reason why i blog! a place to write, record, capture, all these days that just fly by to be looked upon as cherished memories one day). because really, time does fly and i'm trying really hard to not take anything for granted because, hello, life is really beautiful and  i can sometimes overlook that getting so caught up in silliness.

but a thanks to the hubs for snapping some photos of my cuddly baby who did not like the combination of sand and water all at once. he just wanted to be picked up and cuddled, and that's what mama's are for folks. to love and cuddle.

stumptown coffee roasters.

so, have you guys heard that Stumptown Coffee Roasters has made its way to Los Angeles?

hip, hip!

ever since these past 15 months of raising my babyboy (the tales are tried and true my friends) i've developed an appreciation for those beautiful (some days even) life saving beans. sleep deprivation is very real! and it can really take a toll on you. that one cup of coffee in the morning is now a favorite morning ritual of mine these days. that and good morning snuggles with my baby bear, who on another note actually says many times a day in a sing-song-like-tone, "jace-bear!"

i love it soo sooo much, and anticipate the day he writes down his name as "Jace Bear."

anyway, i this place is pretty awesome and i really enjoyed my macchiato and my chai. yeah i ordered 2x one to enjoy there and one on the go. way too much caffeine, but worth it :0

below are a few photos from our coffee stop::

pretty cool, huh?
he's a busy bee at best.
oh i love that husband of mine.
